Telling the Time – A1–A2

This lesson teaches students how to tell the time in English using analogue and digital clocks. Students learn o’clock, half past, quarter past, quarter to, and other common time expressions. The lesson moves from controlled practice to freer speaking and real-life use.

Always start with analogue clocks. Many students find “quarter to” and “half past” confusing at first. Use plenty of repetition and pair work.
