My Bedroom

Teacher’s Overview

My Bedroom – Spot the Differences (A1–B2)

This lesson uses two bedroom pictures to develop English skills from A1 to B2.

Students begin with simple bedroom vocabulary, observation and prepositions of place. As the levels increase, they move into describing people and rooms, giving advice, solving problems, discussing privacy and personal space, designing bedrooms and expressing more developed opinions.

The same pictures are used throughout the four levels, but the language demands and activities change considerably.

💡 Teaching Tip

Don’t rush straight into the ten differences.

Give students a little time to explore the pictures first. Ask them what they can see, what they think is happening and what they notice about the people and the rooms.

For lower-level students, this helps introduce the vocabulary they need.

For higher-level students, the picture becomes a starting point for discussion rather than simply a finding exercise.

And of course, students will probably have very strong opinions about whether the bedroom is tidy or messy. 😄
