Lost & Found / Describing Things

Teacher’s Overview

Lost & Found / Describing Things (A1–A2)

Lost & Found / Describing Things is a practical A1–A2 ESL lesson that helps students describe everyday objects and communicate confidently when something is lost or found. Through a colourful Lost & Found office scene, learners practise colours, sizes, shapes, everyday objects, and polite conversations while developing useful real-life speaking skills.

A key feature of this lesson is that students learn to describe an object even if they don’t know its English name. This simple communication strategy builds confidence and encourages learners to keep speaking instead of stopping when they forget a word.

Level: A1–A2

Lesson Time: 45–60 minutes
