Teacher’s Notes – Weather Worksheet
Level: Basic / A1-A2 (beginners with some speaking)
Aim: Build weather vocabulary, describe today’s weather, talk about seasons and preferences, and practice simple sentences/questions.
Main Parts:
- Flashcards (pages 2–8): Sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy, snowy, hot, cold, warm, stormy, foggy + seasons.
- Activity 1: Match words to pictures.
- Activity 2: Circle & write sentences about today’s weather.
- Activity 3: Pair Q&A (8 questions) – What’s the weather like? Favorite season? Activities/clothing for different weather.
- Activity 4: Weather Chain game (original + 7 variations) – fun listening/memory practice.
Quick Tips:
- Start with flashcards (5–10 min) – model sentences.
- Use Key Expressions (In my opinion…, What about you?, etc.) for support.
- For weaker students: Give sentence starters.
- Fun focus: Weather Chain – do 1–3 rounds in groups for more turns.
