At the Doctor’s & Pharmacy

Overview

At the Doctor’s & Pharmacy – B1 is a practical speaking lesson that helps students communicate confidently in everyday healthcare situations. Students practise describing symptoms, answering a doctor’s questions, asking for clarification, making appointments and speaking to a pharmacist. The lesson uses realistic conversations, role-plays, and practical everyday English.

Why teachers like it

Healthcare situations are common — and stressful — for English learners. This lesson gives students the language they actually need to explain a problem, understand basic questions, ask for help and communicate more confidently at a doctor’s office or pharmacy.
