Why Teachers Love This Lesson

  • Easy to use: Teachers can start immediately with the picture and warm-up activities.
  • Lots of everyday English: Students practise numbers, times and dates they actually need.
  • Good speaking practice: The Spot the Differences activity gets students talking instead of simply completing exercises.
  • Flexible: Activities can be used with younger learners, adults or mixed-ability classes.
  • Easy to extend: Teachers can add their own numbers, times and personal questions.
  • Not just a numbers worksheet: Students use numbers as part of real communication.

👩🏫 Teacher Notes

A1

Focus on basic numbers, simple times and identifying objects containing numbers. Encourage students to answer with short sentences rather than isolated words whenever possible.

A2

Extend the lesson with dates, ordinal numbers, daily routines and questions about students’ own schedules.

Teaching Tip

Don’t try to complete every activity. The lesson contains more material than most classes will need, allowing teachers to choose activities according to their students’ level, age and available time.
