At the Airport

Teacher’s Overview

At the Airport – Spot the Differences (A1–B2)

A classic Spot the Difference activity becomes a complete picture-based English lesson.

Using the same two airport pictures, students work with practical travel vocabulary and gradually move from simple observation and speaking to storytelling, problem solving, discussion, debate, and creative writing.

The activities are designed for four levels, allowing teachers to choose the appropriate challenge for their students.

What’s Included

A1: 1 printable PDF
Vocabulary, observation, simple speaking and fun picture activities.

A2: 2 printable PDFs
Vocabulary, grammar, descriptions, pair work and airport communication.

B1: 2 printable PDFs
Storytelling, travel problems, discussion and guided writing.

B2: 2 printable PDFs
Critical thinking, debate, problem solving and creative communication.

Total: 7 printable PDFs

💡 Teaching Tip

Before asking students to find the ten differences, spend a few minutes exploring the picture together. Ask what they can see, who is travelling, what people are carrying and what might be happening.

This gives students useful vocabulary before they begin the main activity.
