At the Hospital – Spot the Differences (A1–B2)
A classic Spot the Difference activity becomes a complete English communication lesson.
Using the same hospital pictures, students gradually build vocabulary, improve observation skills, practise speaking, develop writing confidence, and discuss real-life healthcare topics across four language levels.
Instead of simply finding ten differences, learners observe, describe, compare, discuss, and create—making the pictures the centre of meaningful communication.

💡 Teaching Tip
Don’t begin by asking students to find the differences.
Instead, let them explore the picture first:
👀 What can you see?
🗣️ Who is helping?
❤️ How do the patients feel?
Only then move on to finding the differences. This encourages richer vocabulary, better observation, and more natural speaking.
