Present Simple vs. Present Continuous

Teacher’s Overview

Present Simple vs. Present Continuous (A1–A2)

This practical A1–A2 lesson helps students understand one of the most important grammar contrasts in English: when to use the Present Simple and when to use the Present Continuous. Using a colourful park scene, clear explanations, and communicative speaking activities, learners practise talking about daily routines as well as actions happening right now.

Instead of studying each tense in isolation, students compare them side by side, making it much easier to recognise when each one should be used in real conversations.

Level: A1–A2
