🍽️ Teacher’s Overview
At the Restaurant – Spot the Differences (A1–B2)
A classic Spot the Difference activity becomes a complete English communication lesson.
Using the same two restaurant pictures, students progress from simple restaurant vocabulary and observation at A1 to practical communication, storytelling, critical thinking, debate and creative activities at B2.
The pictures provide plenty to talk about: food, drinks, customers, restaurant staff, menus, tables, ordering, problems, opinions and restaurant culture.
Students don’t simply find the differences. They observe → describe → compare → discuss →create.

💡 Teaching Tip
Before asking students to find the differences, spend a few minutes exploring the restaurant scene.
Ask students what they can see, who is working, what people are eating and what they think is happening.
For lower-level students, this provides useful vocabulary before the main activity. For higher-level students, it can become a springboard for predictions, stories and discussion.
And remember: there are no prizes for finding the differences first! 😄
