🥐 Teacher’s Overview
At the Bakery – Spot the Differences (A1–B2)
A classic Spot the Difference activity becomes a complete English communication lesson.
Using the same two bakery pictures, students progress from simple food vocabulary and observation at A1 to practical communication, storytelling, critical thinking, debate, and creative activities at B2.
The bakery scene provides plenty to talk about: food and drinks, customers, celebrations, shopping, prices, descriptions, problems, and even the future of the bakery business.
Students don’t simply look for differences. They observe → describe → compare → discuss →create.

💡 Teaching Tip
Before asking students to find the 14 differences, spend a few minutes exploring the bakery scene.
Ask students what they can see, what people are doing, what food they recognise and what they think is happening.
This gives beginners useful vocabulary before the main activity and gives higher-level students ideas for the speaking and storytelling tasks that follow.
